Great Southern California weather and the guarentee of great racing brought out thousands of fans to the Glenn Helen park. The hotly contested Lites class title was decided after the first moto of racing as young Ryan Villopotto showed why he should be the 2006 National outdoor Lites champ by winning both motos. Mike Allessi aboard the factory KTM and SDG seats rode hard to finish second in both motos.
In the big class RC looked to be the fastest but took a dive and injured his shoulder and DNF'd. Bubba cruised to easy victories in both motos.
