GOPHER DUNES MX NATIONAL
Canada

Team Royal Distributing Stoneridge KTM Canada arrived in Tillsonburg, ready to battle. Saturday's practice session went very well with KTM riders Michael Willard and Tim Tremblay posting the 2 quickest times on the track.

Under the threat of rain and extremely hot and humid conditions the first MX2 moto got underway about noon. Gopher Dunes track was as rough as its ever has been and it was all KTM's coming around the first turn.

Royal Distributing Stoneridge KTM's Michael Willard took the early lead with Tim Tremblay close behind in 4th. As the moto went on the track became rougher than ever before. Willard fell victim to its deep sand ruts which allowed his competitor to get by. With less than half the moto to go Royal Distributing KTM rider Tim Tremblay reeled in the 2nd place rider and made the pass to win the 1st moto with Michael Willard crossing the finish line in 3rd place.
